A Waterbury woman has been arrested for stealing from an elderly woman she was entrusted to care for in New Fairfield, who has since died. State Police say 35-year old Nicole Arjona started using the 93-year old woman's credit card last May, racking up $30,000 in charges.
Police say she also stole items from the woman's New Fairfield home and sold them at Danbury and Waterbury pawn shops. The woman's family discovered the crimes in November.
Arjona was charged with credit card theft, criminal impersonation, forgery, larceny, and illegal use of a credit card. She was arraigned and released on bond.
